Imagine if Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, or Google Assistant had a robotic body. Meet, R.O.B, your new Robotic Observant Butler.
While some may think having your computer assistant in a humanoid body would be helpful in everyday life, R.O.B. isn’t doing very well.
R.O.B. was programmed to be more human than other computer assistants, and today he’s feeling under the weather. Just last week, he tried to carry all the groceries in one trip, and his arm detached from his body due to the corrupt firmware update.
We hope this is just the prototype blues and R.O.B. will be feeling better after this robotic flu.
Broken_Server is a satirical look at the exponential advancements in technology and how they still have glitches.

Analogous means comparable in certain aspects.
ana10g0US exhibits the similarities and differences of the glitch aesthetic in analog and digital mediums; this focuses on the broken aesthetic of VHS and VCR noise/static/tracking and digital data bending and glitch.
The spelling refers to the the word analog and 10 represent the binary digital world. 10 in binary equals 2, to represent analog and digital, and US brings the audience together and how we perceive this broken or glitch aesthetic.
The sculpture is in two parts, the left half has round waves to emulate the analog word of audio and the right half is the digital bit representation. The CRT tv and LCD emblematize this broken aesthetic to more physical objects rather than videos themselves. The main purpose of the installation is to ask the question, "Do we see this as art and beauty, or do we only see it as broken?"

shift.smear contains short vignettes that explore techniques in manipulating pixels and recorded audio. The first section sporadically shifts pixels in large blocks around the screen while the audio rhythmically jumps around multiple channels. As the section evolves, the pixel groups and duration of sounds diminish until they both become particles moving around space. The second section juxtaposes the shifting of the visuals and audio by smearing pixels from neighboring videos while stretching and freezing audio to create a perpetual flow of sound and image.

When flipping through channels, or channel surfing, one hears and sees a plethora of different sounds and videos. Most of the time, the channel surfer stays at a constant pace, but every so often channels come up that they know they won't watch; so, they flip faster and create different rhythms of visual and sound. The rhythms, patterns, phrases, and repeats are based on letters and numbers according to local Birmingham, AL network news stations: WBRC FOX 6, WVTM NBC 13, WBMA ABC 3340, WIAT CBS 42. Channel Surfing was composed for Birmingham based percussion quartet, Iron Giant Percussion.
CRT 2.0 embodies the idea of technostalgia and the aesthetic of glitch. Hacking multiple VGA cables allows me to use audio to drive the visuals of the CRT computer monitors.
Memories, the first movement, takes you on a journey back to dial-up internet. The familiar sound of 56k modem dial-up creates a sense of nostalgia and comfort as it synthesizes visuals on the computer monitors.
Machine, the second movement, I explore the CRT monitors both sonically and visually. I convert the CRT video signal into audio, process the audio, and then turn the audio back into video. By being a buffer within the CRT monitor feedback loop, I institute a relationship among the machines and myself.

One of the biggest questions in quantum physics is "Are they waves or are they particles?". Quantum physicists have concluded that they behave as both.
The wave-particle duality theory is present in the form: structured, free with random parameters, and free within a structure. The triggered video uses multiple data-bending techniques that follow the structure of the piece, as well as the theorem.
